JoAnn Borovicka

JoAnn Borovicka is a freelance writer and educational consultant who has been actively engaged in interfaith dialogue and religious education for over twenty-five years. Her passion lies in the thrill of finding the golden threads of concord between modern Scripture and ancient writings -- a passion that she has followed into her family Bible, studies of ancient literature, Bahá'í studies in various venues, travels and research in the Near East, and interfaith conversations at conferences, book clubs, and kitchen tables.

She is the author of "Light of the Kingdom -- Biblical Topics in the Bahá’í Writings" and short works including the "Bahá’í Bible Study" series, “The Ten Plagues of Exodus in Light of the Bahá’í Writings” and “Parallels in the Ministries of Táhirih and Paul.” She is also active as an artist in residence with the South Carolina Arts Commission specializing in mythology and folktales of the ancient Near East, and serves as faculty for the Wilmette Institute, an Online Baha'i Learning Center.

JoAnn and her husband, Mike, live in Greenville, South Carolina, where they are active in the Bahá'í and interfaith communities, spend time with their grandchildren, and enjoy their backyard garden when a sunny afternoon allows.
